Expect goals at the Olimpico

Not quite one of Italy’s most famous derbies, Roma vs Milan still carries plenty of passion and both need the points heading into Sunday’s fixture.

Roma in crisis?

It has been a tough second season for Eusebio Di Francesco, with his side’s form resulting in him having his future questioned on a weekly basis.

Wednesday’s 7-1 Coppa Italia loss to Fiorentina came on the back of the Giallorossi squandering a 3-0 lead in Sunday’s 3-3 draw at Atalanta meaning it has been another difficult few days for EDF.

Di Francesco needs a result at 2.20 but his options are limited, especially in midfield where Bryan Cristante and Steven Nzonzi are both suspended.

Piatek ready to roll

Krzysztof Piatek’s move to AC Milan has added to the belief in the Rossoneri camp and the Pole’s brace in the Coppa Italia win over Napoli suggests he should get another start.

A third straight win against Sunday’s opposition is 3.45 and they could be inspired by Piatek, who is 2.60 in the Anytime Goalscorer market, having netted against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico while playing for Genoa.

Goals look the way to go

The Giallorossi have scored twice in nine of their last 10 at home and the Olimpico has seen plenty of goals this season, over 2.5 being netted in all but one of the last 10 there.

AC Milan are undefeated in their last five away matches and it is easy to see both teams going for it, especially the visitors, who will leapfrog their hosts with a win.

The Rossoneri have undoubtedly improved at the back, with five clean sheets in their last seven but can be susceptible to balls into the box, something Edin Dzeko, who is 4.50 to score first, will gobble up.

Over 3.5 goals is 2.75 and with so much on the line, a draw at 3.55 may tempt some punters, as might the 9.00 for the 2-2.
