NBA Preview 26-28/10

LeBron James ended his wait for a victory with Los Angeles Lakers with a big win at Phoenix Suns last time out and they can back that up with another success, against the current Western Conference leaders Denver Nuggets.

Lakers look value in the Moneyline

Denver won in LA in their opening game of the season as they saw off the Clippers and backed that up with three home wins – including a victory over Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers remain without suspended pair Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram, but they coped well against the Suns in their absence and at 2.45 in the moneyline are a decent price to inflict a first defeat of the season on the Nuggets.

The Lakers are 1.90 with a +4 handicap in the spread, and James could be worth backing to register over 9.5 assists at 1.80, after managing 24 over the course of the last two games.

Toronto can maintain perfect start

Toronto Raptors come up against Dallas Mavericks on Friday (game starts 00.30 BST Saturday) and the Canadian outfit can continue their 100% start.

The Raptors have five wins in five so far and have never really looked in any danger, while Dallas have lost at Atalanta Hawks and Phoenix Suns and should find Toronto too strong in this meeting.

Boston can down Detroit

Boston Celtics are yet to hit top form but they can claim a win in Detroit on Saturday (game starts at midnight UK time), as they look to keep the pressure on Eastern Conference leaders Toronto.

The Pistons have a perfect record at home but struggled past both Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Celtics have a bit more quality than the Nets and the Sixers and will be desperate to bounce back, after a shock home defeat to Orlando Magic last time out.
