NBA preview 2-4/11

Philadelphia 76ers look set for a big season and their home form will be crucial if they are to mount a serious challenge come the post-season.

Philly can maintain perfect Wells Fargo Center run

The Sixers have four wins in four so far at home and should be able to see off the Los Angeles Clippers in their next contest at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Clippers have been in mixed form on the road, claiming an unlikely win at Houston Rockets but losing in both New Orleans and Oklahoma.

Philly look a good team for home backers this year and are 1.91 with a -5 handicap in the point spread.

Bucks the value call in Boston

Milwaukee Bucks are the Eastern Conference leaders with a perfect 7-0 record, but they face a big test at Boston Celtics.

The Celtics are deservedly rated as the most likely team to reach the NBA Finals from the East, but form cannot be ignored and, at 2.35, the Bucks could spring a minor upset by claiming the win.

Jazz can end home blues

Utah Jazz have lost their last two home games and the visit of Memphis Grizzlies offers a good chance to get back to winning ways in Salt Lake City.

Memphis have started well overall but are 1-2 on the road and Utah may have a bit too much quality in this match-up on Friday (game starts 1:00am GMT Saturday).

Cavs  won’t avoid Hornets’ sting

Cleveland Cavaliers ended their losing start to the season with a home win over Atlanta Hawks, but may well come unstuck at Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.

The Hornets look another good team for home backers as only the Bucks have managed to deny them a win at the Spectrum Center after three games and with no Kevin Love, the Cavs could be there for the taking.
