Another Premier League weekend Preview!

Liverpool’s quest for Premier League glory takes them to Southampton on Friday night, with Jurgen Klopp’s side hoping to make it five wins in a row in all competitions.

Their task won’t be that straight forward though, with the Saints in decent form having won their last two Premier League matches.

Goal drought to end for Salah

A 1-0 win away at Brighton saw Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side move five points clear from 18th placed Cardiff, helping ease their relegation fears.

However, with Liverpool knowing they can’t afford to drop any points, Southampton may find their opponents too hot to handle, especially with the Reds winning the last three meetings between the two sides.

All three of those games saw Liverpool win without conceding, and a repeat of that on Friday offers plenty of appeal at 2.20.

Mohamed Salah has gone eight games without a goal for his club, but Southampton offer a great opportunity for the Egyptian to rediscover his scoring touch.

Four goals in his three previous matches against the Saints should give him plenty of confidence, with the Liverpool forward 4.00 to open the scoring at St Mary’s.

Relegated Terriers face tough Foxes test

With just 14 points on the board, a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace confirmed Huddersfield Town’s relegation from the Premier League last week, bringing a sorry end to the club’s time in the top tier.

It has been a tough season for the West Yorkshire club, with the Terriers winning just three matches in all competitions, and the arrival of Jan Siewert did little to change matters.

Huddersfield face Leicester on Saturday at The John Smith’s Stadium, with the visitors looking likely to inflict more pain on the home support.

Brendan Rogers’s side have seen off Fulham, Burnley and Bournemouth in their last three Premier League matches, making them a strong selection for any accumulator at 1.74.

For those looking for a bit more value on the Foxes, six of their last seven matches have featured three goals or more, making Leicester to win and over 2.5 goals a play at 2.65.

Expect goals at the Vitality Stadium

Saturday’s match between Bournemouth and Burnley features two sides struggling for form in the Premier League.

Since thrashing Chelsea 4-0 at the beginning of the year, Bournemouth have seen their results slide at an alarming rate, picking up just one win in their last eight matches.

A 2-0 win over Wolves helped Burnley avoid a fifth successive defeat last week, but they are still looking nervously over their shoulder as they sit one place above the drop zone.

However, both sides will fancy their chances of getting something out of this game, which should make for an entertaining encounter.

Recent meetings between these sides certainly back that up, with the last five matches involving three goals or more.

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score looks the play between these two sides at 2.15, whilst a score draw could also be worth a look at 4.15 for those seeking a bigger price.

Rondon’s fine form to continue

It has been over 20 years since Crystal Palace picked up an away win at St James’ Park, and they may have to wait a bit longer after this weekend’s clash with Newcastle.

The Magpies have been a force to be reckoned with at home recently, winning their last five matches, including a thrilling 3-2 victory against Everton.

An important factor in their recent upturn in form has been the performances of Salomon Rondon, with the Venezuelan striker scoring in two of their last three Premier League matches.

At 3.20 to score against Crystal Palace, Rondon looks a strong bet as an anytime goalscorer, especially with how well the forward has been linking up with the likes of Ayoze Perez and Miguel Almiron.

Crystal Palace have struggled for consistency this season and Newcastle can take full advantage of that with a win at 2.50.

Ramsey to be too sweet for the Toffees

Sunday sees an intriguing clash at Goodison Park as Everton host Arsenal in the Premier League.

After a difficult run of form, things are starting to look bright for the Toffees after back-to-back wins against Chelsea and West Ham.

Arsenal also come into this game in good form, unbeaten in their last six matches with five wins and one draw, and the Gunners now look on course to secure a place in the top four.

Unai Emery will have one eye on next week’s Europa League tie with Napoli, so the Arsenal manager could make a few changes to keep his side fresh.

One man who is expected to keep his place in the side is Aaron Ramsey, with the Welsh midfielder in great form having scored two goals in his last three Premier League games.

With five goals in his last four matches against Everton, Ramsey looks a great bet to continue his scoring run at 3.75, whilst the 10.00 on him to score first also looks a play.

More away day pain for the Hammers

Chelsea have looked far from convincing in the past few weeks but they are tipped to deliver all three points against West Ham on Monday night.

The Hammers have had a difficult time on the road this season, losing six and drawing one of their last seven away matches in all competitions, including a 4-2 defeat to AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup.

That winless run looks set to continue with West Ham failing to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 2002.

Recent meetings between the two sides have tended to be quite tight affairs, with the last two encounters ending as draws.

It ended goalless when the teams last met in the league in September, but with West Ham struggling to secure points away from home, it is worth taking a look at a narrow victory for Chelsea.

At 1.33, Chelsea are a short price so for something a bit juicer, a 2-1 home win ticks the right boxes at 6.85.
