Wolves tough to tame

Wolves go to Chelsea on Sunday seeking another big scalp, having already beaten the Blues at Molineux this season. Last season’s Championship winners have relished facing the ‘big six’ this term, winning away at Tottenham and collecting points at Arsenal and Manchester United.

Previous trips to Stamford Bridge haven’t gone well for Wolves though, losing on their last six visits. Chelsea are 1.54 to extend that run to seven matches and their recent form has improved, winning the last two in the Premier League.

Maurizio Sarri appears to have some breathing space finally, but can’t relax with his team two points off fourth. They looked far from solid against Fulham last week as well, with the Cottagers passing up several good chances to equalise.

With Raul Jimenez bang in form, scoring six in the last nine matches, Wolves should net at Stamford Bridge with over 0.5 team goals at 1.64.

Given Wolves’ previous good showings against the Premier League’s heavyweights and Chelsea being far from on solid ground, the 2.50 available on the Draw/Wolves double chance looks a good bet.

Gunners must not misfire in top four showdown

Open upon a time, Arsenal against Manchester United used to be the game that would decide the Premier League title. Fast forward to the present day and these two are now squabbling over who will finish in fourth, having been left trailing in the wake of Manchester City and Liverpool.

With the Reds and the Citizens having straight-forward home games to come in round 30, the battle for Champions League qualification takes centre stage this weekend, as Tottenham and Chelsea also face testing encounters.

United seek more capital gains

Winning in London has come naturally to United since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, with five of their record eight successive away wins coming in the capital.

Solskjaer has also already overseen one victory at the Emirates Stadium, the Red Devils eliminating Arsenal from the FA Cup in the fourth round. That continued United’s recent domination of the Gunners on their own ground, losing just two of the last eight encounters in north London.

Despite their previous successes, United start as the 3.10 underdogs with Unai Emery’s men 2.30 to improve upon the joint second-best home record in the Premier League.

The Gunners sit a point behind United in fifth after last week’s frustrating 1-1 draw with Tottenham and will be without Lucas Torreira for Sunday’s game, after he was sent-off against Spurs.

United have a plethora of injuries to contend with but have still been getting results and their pace on the counter-attack will cause Arsenal issues. With little to separate the two teams, a draw at 3.45 offers value.

Late drama on the cards at St Mary’s

Spurs should be flying high after their victory in Germany against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, but there is still work to be done on the domestic front. One point from the last three games has ended Spurs’ title ambitions and they are now in danger of dropping out of the top-four, with Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea having narrowed the gap.

Creativity has been an issue for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who haven’t scored more than once in their last four games, despite Harry Kane’s return from injury.

Tottenham are still a dangerous foe though and have the best away record in the Premier League ahead of Saturday’s game at Southampton.

The Saints played well in defeat at Manchester United but had nothing to show for their efforts and have now won one of their last six in the league, leaving them two points above the relegation zone.

The goals have at least started to flow for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, scoring in their last nine home matches. However, their defence continues to be overly generous and both teams to score on Saturday is available at 1.71.

These two sides have become specialists in scoring and conceding late goals this season, both teams letting in 11 in the final 15 minutes of league matches this term. Spurs have also netted 10 times in that period and a goal to be scored between the 76th minute and full-time whistle is priced at 2.00.
