European Transfer Round-Up

Transfer Round-Up

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may need his much-talked-about negotiation skills to be razor sharp as Real Madrid are rumoured to be coveting one of his prized assets.

Lloris linked to the Bernabeu

European champions Real Madrid are said to be considering a move for Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The French stopper captained Les Bleus to World Cup success in Russia this summer and could soon be the target of a £60m bid from the Spanish giants.

Keylor Navas is the current number one at the Bernabeu, while Real have long been courting a deal to bring David de Gea back to Spain from Manchester United.

They may switch focus to Lloris this summer, though they’ll have to be on their game as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is a renowned negotiator.

Having seen Roma demand a world-record £67m fee before selling Brazilian stopper Alisson this month to Liverpool, Levy is unlikely to want anything less.

Red Devils boss wants help

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, whose side are 7.50 to win the Premier League this season, has refused to answer questions on whether the Red Devils are title contenders.

The Portuguese apparently wants further reinforcements in the bid to close the gap on neighbours Man City. United, along with Chelsea, are being linked with signing Bayern Munich and Spain midfielder Thiago Alcantara, 27, who could be available for £62m from the Bundesliga champions this summer.

Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic, fresh from helping Croatia to the World Cup final in Russia, is another name being linked with a potential move to Old Trafford before the transfer window closes early next month.

One man seemingly set to exit the Theatre of Dreams is Anthony Martial. The 22-year-old French forward feels he isn’t getting enough game-time under Mourinho and reportedly told the club he wants to leave. Martial is said to be keen on staying in the Premier League, with London rivals Spurs and Chelsea amongst the potential suitors for his signature.

Schurrle set for Premier League return

Borussia Dortmund appear set to lose winger Andrea Schurrle in the coming days. The 27-year-old is in talks with Fulham according to reports, with a deal between the clubs already agreed.

The German is no stranger to London, having spent time at Chelsea. Fulham are back in the top-flight after winning the Championship Play-Off Final in May and the Craven Cottage side are 6.50 to finish in the top-ten this season.

Klaassen could end sticky Toffees spell

Former Ajax captain Davy Klaassen could be leaving Everton a little over a year after joining the Toffees for more than £23m.

The 25-year-old midfielder managed just seven appearances for Everton last season and is attracting the attention of Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.

Janssen seeks permanent solution

Another Dutchman, Vincent Janssen, is the subject of a loan enquiry from Fenerbahce. The Tottenham misfit spent last season on loan at the Turkish club, who are keen to have him back, though Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has already made clear he would prefer the 24-year-old striker to leave on a permanent deal.

Juve plot Pjanic exit

Finally and Serie A champions Juventus, 1.40 to retain their title this season, will sell Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic as part of a strategy to allow them bring World Cup winner Paul Pogba back to Turin from Manchester United.

Manchester looks an unlikely destination for Pjanic however, with Pep Guardiola staying he has no desire to sign the Croatia international.
