Real Sociedad v Girona

Round nine of the La Liga campaign concludes on Monday as Real Sociedad welcome Girona to the Anoeta.

La Real beat their bitter local rivals Athletic Bilbao 3-1 before the break but are without a win in their last four at home. Girona have not won any of their last four La Liga outings, but will take heart from the fact that they are unbeaten on the road in six.

Garitano already under pressure

Despite that glorious triumph at San Mames, the pressure remains on Asier Garitano despite only taking over in the summer.

The Txuri-urdinak are 1.74 to claim the points on Monday and it seems a good time for them to get back on track at home.

Girona good for goals

Despite treading water towards the lower-bottom half of the table, Girona can be relied on for goals, failing to score in just one of their last seven La Liga games.

They and are 5.50 to end their winless run and former Sociedad boss Eusebio Sacristan will be desperate to get revenge but a draw at 3.90 is arguably the value bet of the night.

Combine their scoring actions with the fact La Real have seen over 2.5 goals in six of their last eight, backing over 2.5 is also tempting at 1.90.

Stuani could be the hero

Despite the Blanquivermell’s poor form, Cristhian Stuani has been inspired, netting eight times this season to emerge as a surprise Pichichi contender.

The Uruguayan is a handy 3.00 to score at anytime, while he can be backed at 14.25 to score two or more for the fourth time in 2018-19.
