NBA Preview 30-1/11

There’s a battle in New York in the NBA on Monday, as Brooklyn Nets make the short trip to Madison Square Garden to face the Knicks.

Brooklyn Nets Moneyline @ 2.10

The Nets head to the Knicks on the back of successive defeats, but they were at least competitive against New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors.

Brooklyn can get back to winning ways against a Knicks side who are 13th in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 1-5, having lost all five games since opening the campaign with a win over Atlanta Hawks.

The Nets beat their city rivals 107-105 at the Barclays Center earlier this month and can claim another win over the Knicks, who remain without star forward Kristaps Porzingis.

Miami too hot for Hornets

Charlotte Hornets claimed somewhat of a surprise win in Miami just over a week ago and the Heat can take their revenge at the Spectrum Center on Tuesday.

Miami are 1-1 on the road so far having lost at Florida rivals Orlando Magic, before claiming an impressive win at Washington Wizards.

Charlotte have been a mixed bag in these opening weeks of the season as they have hammered Chicago Bulls at home, but then lost to the same opponent on the road.

This will be a big test for the Heat but it represents a good opportunity to establish themselves as play-off contenders and they may well leave Charlotte with a win.

Nuggets can raid Chicago

Denver have made a strong start to the season as their improvement under Michael Malone continues.

The Nuggets head to Chicago Bulls on Thursday and can secure an away win, as they look to keep the pace with their Western Conference rivals.

Admittedly, Denver’s championship hopes look slim but they may well be among the top four seeds in the West – which would be a massive achievement given the strength of the Conference – and they offer real value at 3.75 to be the Northwest Division winner, with Utah Jazz the 3.10 favourites.
